Referral coming?

It is possible that we may see our little Lucy for the first time this week!  Yes, that is right... referrals may be coming!  I think about what it will be like to see her sweet face for the first time. Brian and I wait with anticipation and hope.  There is a website that we follow:  ChinaAdoptTalk.com.  They give predictions as well as updates and rumors about what is going on out there in the world of China adoptions.   Right now there is a lot of uncertainty.  But it is possible.  We have finished Lucy's room so I attached some updated photos.   Every night we turn the angel night light on in her room (thanks to Brian's parents for this beautiful gift.)  We think of it as her little angel in waiting.

On a side note, a big thanks to my Mom for the hours and hours of help she has given me in getting this blog going, as well as getting all my technology up to date and ready for our changing home and expanding family. 

Waiting for the Referral

I thought it was time that I got this blog up and running so that I can practice and get ready for the big day! That is "referral day." This is the day that we will finally get pictures of our little Lucy. In addition, we will get medical records and any other information they may have about her. This is our formal "invitation to adopt."  We had hoped that this day would have come in August, but alas, it seems we must wait a bit longer. That is okay. It should happen next month. For those of you who like to follow, China has been releasing these precious and long awaited documents around the 21st of the month...so maybe September 21st-ish we will receive what we have been waiting for since 9-12-05 (the day we took the first step to start the adoption process). We know many of you have been praying....keep them coming. We feel them and they are working. I have attached a photo of Lucy's almost-complete room. (I need to practice uploading photos too!) Just as a side note, when I asked Brian what we should name the blog, within 5 seconds he said "Life with Lucy."  And so the title was created and our official journey online with you begins...
