Tea Time

I couldn't resist posting these pictures of Lucy having her 'afternoon tea' today.  I think Mama had as much fun watching her as she did playing!  The other photos are from my nephew's high school graduation this past weekend.  Congrats Josh!

Bows, Bubbles and Blessings...

The photos are primarily from Mother's Day.  Lucy (via Daddy) had a card for me in her crib when she woke up...so very sweet!  We then spent the morning walking at the park.  Even though it was a bit chilly, Lucy loved looking at the turtles, ducks, and squirrels.  In the afternoon we went out to eat and then treated ourselves to ice cream.  This is the first time that Lucy had soft serve from DQ.  As you can see from the picture, she loved it and devoured every bite! 

Lucy recently got some bows for her hair from Grammy, so a few of the pictures are her sporting her first hair accessories! The others are her after bath time... a part of the day that she now loves.

I titled the post with "blessings" in it because there is really no other way to describe how I felt on this special day.   After many years of waiting for Lucy and wondering when we may be parents, how wonderful that this year we were blessed to have Lucy in our lives.  I must say, however, that my mind also drifted to all those women out there who would like to be moms and can't for some reason or another....possibly including Lucy's birth mom. My heart and prayers were with these women on this day.

We had great fun yesterday playing outside with Lucy's new toy.  Even though she is still a bit small for it, and her feet don't completely touch the ground, Lucy enjoyed herself. Thanks to Grammy for the new toy!
