On Watching them with Others

Whenever I have had the chance to partake with Lucy in activities at her school, it has been rewarding in ways that seem a bit unexplainable.   At times, she will forget I am there, and I get to see her interact with her peers in a way that I usually am not privy to.   Who knows why this is such a joy to see.   But I imagine most parents would agree that they derive great happiness in watching their child, particularly when their child doesn't know their watching.

Kind of like when we stand in their bedrooms at night watching them sleep.

Lucy's class field trip to Gorman Farms did not disappoint.

Lucy and her BFF snuck away from the group to pet the goats (which they weren't supposed to do... already a rebel!)

Lucy and her teacher, Ms. Morgan (who we looooove!)

getting ready to grind corn.

my fav pic....in the chicken coop.

taking it all in....

There are only 5 girls in the class;  according to the teacher, they have bonded quite nicely this year.

The school year is coming to a close.  We will miss this great group of kids and teachers.   (My guess is it is going to be harder for mom than child. God help me!   And yes, I know... this is only just the beginning.)
