There's Nothing Like Family

I think we can all agree: nothing compares to the relationship that is possible with family.  What a blessing when these relationships have an opportunity to be maximized to their full potential.   When they are healthy and happy and positive and fun and full of energy and life.  When they are clearly gifts from God.

We were blessed to have my niece, Lucy's cousin Lindsay, come stay with us for her annual summer visit. There were many priceless moments.  Like the time when the girls were up in Lucy's room, giggling, having their fun cousin time.  Or those moment when I would just catch them, walking hand in hand.  Or when they had their girl night together, while Brian and I had a date night out.   Here's a glimpse of a few more wonderful memories with Lindsay Lou:

My sister and two nephews joined us at the end of the visit, and we all headed to Kings Island for the day.  Never mind that it was the hottest day of the summer and our AC happened to go out the night before.  We all still managed to have a great day together.
